1970s Youthcraft Red Coat with Fox Collar Medium

From the mid-1970s, a bright red dressy coat with a large fox collar. Made by Youthcraft of Kansas City, one of the US’s largest women’s coat manufacturers of the 20th century. Classic tailoring here with a double-breasted front, nipped waist & princess seams down the back, and a fuller skirt. Swingy silhouette punctuated by that fluffy fur collar. Fastens with large red plastic buttons with a goldtone inlay and an inner metal snap at the waist. Fully lined. Side slash pockets- the flaps are just for decoration. Post-1974 union tag.

1980s Vintage Red Cocoon Coat L/XL

Dramatic cocoon shape comes across as very avant-garde! Red wool blend coat with a funnel neck & 2 large toggles right below the collar. If it fits loosely, it plays like a cape. Dolman sleeves to the ribbed knit cuffs. Falls below the knee with notches at each side. Closes with a hidden heavy YKK zipper. Ribbed collar & cuffs. Fully lined. Side pockets.
